Lowestoft Flood Risk Management Project

Here you will find important information on our Project and its goals - past and present, as well as advice and details on how you can get involved.

the Lowestoft Flood Risk Management Project

Funding & Partners

The project represents a major capital investment for Lowestoft of around £63m. Funding has come from the Government’s Flood Defence Grant in Aid which is administered by the Environment Agency, from the New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership, Regional Flood and Coastal Committee Local Levy, Anglian Water, Suffolk County Council and from East Suffolk Council.

We are also pleased to be working in partnership with Associated British Ports and the Lowestoft and Waveney Chamber of Commerce.

We are delighted also that businesses in Lowestoft are beginning to come forward with private funding support for the project, recognising the value of investing in flood risk management to bolster economic growth and stability for the town and surrounding areas.
